Everyone who has been following me the past months and years, knows that I carry the title SoccerMum to the fullest. I spend every weekend on the football field - if it's raining, snowing, or just cold as f***, I watch my oldest play his match for hours. That's what we do as mothers:)
If We for some reason, don't have the possibility to attend a match, his whole world and energy changes! Sean doesn't see football as his hobby, he sees it as his job, as his calling... What he really wants to do in life, and I have to admit that I have rarely seen anyone his age being so determined and focused, on top of having such a big passion for football as he does. I try to remind him sometimes, that it has to be fun, that's what football is all about, and then he always replies: mum, I have the most fun ever when I'm on that field, playing football is what I love the most. So don't worry.
But its because he's such a little fighter, and keeps going no matter how frustrated he gets, he doesn't give up.. he wants to be able to do whatever he puts infront of him, and that's just not realistic in my head, but in his, he just keeps going until he got it! Something all of us could learn and reflect on:)
He is a funny little character. Cause he's so into what he does. His biggest dream is to play for his favorite team Barcelona. So moving here was the best thing I could do in his world...
Back in Denmark, before we moved here, he played for BTA- Barcelona Training Academy in Ballerup. Back in October 16, he went with his team, on a weekly camp, playing on camp nou's training facility's. Playing matches against the Spanish team, and he got himself some confidence. It knew what he wanted from being here that week. When we came home, he made his Bucketlist, and it's been hanging by the side of his bed. He has a dream, and he wants to fulfill his visions. As a mum, the best thing I can do, is to support his dreams, as much as possible.
When I made the decision of moving here, I decided to investigate the possibilities, of where he could play his football, and he got offered to play in FCBEscola, whenever we moved here.
Sooo, this is really a BIG thing for Sean. He started his first training today, met his new football team on camp nou, and now it's up to him and his talent, of how far he will get. I think I've done my part the best I could, to make it possible to live here, and for him to now be guided by the best coaches and team in Barcelona.
I am as a mum so so happy for him, and his new adventure in life. I have never seen him so exited ever... If he wakes up next month, and dont feel like playing anymore, i would never push him. This is HIS dream, and his drive, and i just want him to be happy, and have the best experiences in life <3 His Father, stepfather and I will support him as much as we can!
